Cloudy Shopping Day at Gotemba Outlet

On a cloudy and occasionally rainy day, we arrived at Gotemba in less than half an hour's drive.

On the second day of the itinerary, because the weather was cloudy and occasionally rainy, we arranged to go to Gotemba Outlet. I originally thought it would take a long time to get there from Hakone. After actually driving, I discovered that it can be reached in less than half an hour, which is very convenient.

To Gotemba

Much closer than imagined

The last time I went to Gotemba I took a bus, and the waiting time made it seem like a long journey. This time I drove by myself and arrived in less than half an hour from Hakone.

Drive from Hakone Wooden House to Gotemba Premium Outlets, return to Sengokuhara in the evening to replenish ingredients, and then return to the wooden house.

Three shopping areas, really easy to visit

Gotemba Outlet now has three shopping areas, and the parking lot is also divided into several areas. We parked in parking lot No. 4 according to the guidance of the commander and started to stroll around slowly.

Lunch

Unforgettable steak frites

The steak frites for lunch were really delicious. The outer layer is crispy and the inside still retains a beautiful meat color. Served with white rice and miso soup, it is the most vivid taste memory of the day.

On the way back, I restocked ingredients at the supermarket in Sengokuhara. This is the nearest supermarket to the accommodation, about twelve minutes' drive from the cabin.

Shopping day night

After returning to the cabin, he spread out the loot, poured some white wine, and lit up the projection screen. Although it was a shopping trip, I really enjoyed shopping and shopping on this day.

When I walked outside the wooden house late at night, the cold air washed the sky clearly. At the end of the shopping day, we finally stopped on the roof of a wooden house, among the treetops and starlight.
