DAY 07 / SHIBUYA TO OMOTESANDO

Shibuya Record Store, Aoyama Walk, and Omotesando Afternoon

Walk from Tower Records and HMV record shop to Aoyama, HARAKADO and Takeshita Street.

The seventh day started at Tower Records Shibuya store, and then headed to HMV, Yoyogi Park and Harajuku. It’s an amazing day’s walking distance from Shibuya Center Street all the way to Aoyama, Omotesando and Takeshita Street.

Walk all the way from Shibuya Record Store to Aoyama, Omotesando, Harajuku and Takeshita Street, and return to Okubo for dinner in the evening.

    Tower Records

    Record store on the eighth floor, go straight to the Korean group album section

    The Tower Records Shibuya store has eight floors plus an R floor, with K-POP, vinyl and cafes all in the same building. Unfortunately, the fifth floor was undergoing renovations, so I ended up leaving empty-handed.

    Transition before lunch and separate operations

    After leaving the record store, we stopped for something to eat. Then everyone split up. My eldest daughter and I walked to the HMV record shop.

    HMV record shop Shibuya store has a rich collection. For those who like vinyl, it is a stop in Shibuya that cannot be missed.

    Shibuya Center Street

    Miss SHIBUYA SKY and go to Qingshan

    It was a pity to miss SHIBUYA SKY on this trip, so I can only wait to visit again next time. So we walked slowly towards Aoyama from Shibuya Center Street, treating the city street scene as the itinerary itself.

    Togo Shrine, Omotesando Hills and brand facade

    If you want to collect royal seals, the nearby shrine is also a place to stop in this area. Shrines, clothing brands and the main street of Omotesando form a very hierarchical walk.

    Tokyu Plaza Harajuku HARAKADO is the new landmark of Omotesando. The glass curtain is like a diamond facet, and there is also Kosugi Yu Harajuku and a lush green sky garden.

    Enter the theme store of the magical world

    The Harry Potter store next to it has clothing, accessories and magic wands from the four major colleges. Even the paper bags are designed to look like the newspapers in the movie.

    Takeshita Street

    The liveliness of Takeshita Street is a different kind of scenery

    Takeshita Dori is dotted with various animal cafes and dessert shops. You may not be able to get in if you queue temporarily, but you can feel the density of Harajuku's tourist district.
